Film Formats
This year's Lillian Gish Film Festival will celebrate the life and
legacy of Springfield native Lillian Gish through a unique, modern
interpretation. We will be screening many of our films in a modern,
non-traditional, method with innovative live musical scores.
As most of our screenings are not in traditional
movie theaters, including the amazing venues of the Heritage Center
of Clark County, Kuss Auditorium, and Frank Lloyd Wright's Westcott
House, we will be screening these films in new media formats
(MPEG-4/ DVD).
In our one screening in a historic theatre,
The Little Art Theater in Yellow Springs, we will be screening the
16mm print. When Springfield restores one of our two incredible
historic theatres, The Regent Theatre (1920) and State Theatre
(1927), we will have additional settings to screen films on 16mm and
35mm.
We look forward to seeing you at the festival.
It promises to be an amazing experience!
